This morning, the official Grand Opening of the renovated Stait Park in Fergus, as the Rotary Club of Fergus-Elora Accessible Playground was held. I would like to say Thank You once again to everyone who supported myself and Darrel's Playground to have Darrel's name on the Park's signage as a Bronze Sponsor. Without the assistance of family, friends, and others around the Centre Wellington community, this dream would not have become a reality.

" I have a huge smile on my face when I drive by the newly developed hustling, fully accessible Stait Park. When my boys were little, it was called triangle park (coz of the shape), it only had the swings with the rubber seats and a simple dome shaped jungle gym. We would also go to James McQueen PS, or Victoria Terrace PS, or Beatty Park, or Wilkie Park or Webster Park. Times were simpler then (I know, I sound old), and the kids were happy with anything that they could climb, jump, or balance. Kudos to all that were involved in this large undertaking. I can see that this brings joy to the kids and parents....this gives me a sense of community and belonging.

Kudos to Jackie Speers and her hubby Andy, Stephen Robb and family. Plus to ALL that encouraged and supported this wonderful playground!!"
